Indian School [text missing]

The large group of delegates, at the First annual convention of the Homemakers' Clubs of Western Canada being held in Portage la Prairie listen to the opening speaker at this morning's sessions. The convention is being attended by representativs [sic] from three of the Prairie Provinces. In the lower photo are a group of the officials in charge of the conference, left to right, R. S. Davis, Regional Supervisor for the Province of Manitoba, Col. H. M. Jones, Superintendent of Welfare Indian Affairs in Canada, Miss W. Broderick Social Welfare worker from Alberta, Col. G. Patrick Administrator for Indian Affairs, Mrs. Swail, Nurse Indian Health Services, Miss M. Herseltine Social Welfare Worker for Saskatchewan, Mrs. A. Oddson Social Welfare worker for Manitoba, John Rayson, local Director for Indian Affairs, and J. P. B. Ostrander Regional Supervisor for Saskatchewan.
