Oddities and vegetables

More of nature's oddities are these two potatoes and two cucumbers brought into the Graphic over the weekend. The two oversized cucumbers called "Straight 8" cucumbers weigh three pounds, five ounces; one weighing two pounds, seven ounces and the other one pound, six ounces. The oversized Pontiac potato weighs two pounds, seven ounces. These three specimens were grown by F. Dalzell and Tom Chesney of Queen Avenue. The little man potato with the head, hands and legs was grown in the garden of Mrs. John Taylor, 123 10th Street N.W.
