Arthur Meighen students hold protest march - School ground mud situation is bad

About 40 students from Arthur Meighen high school marched on City Council Monday night to protest what they termed the muddy condition of their school yard. They arrived shortly after 8 p.m. and remained outside for about 20 minutes, yelling school songs. But they didn't get inside. On their arrival council was in the middle of dealing with correspondence. Mayor H. L. Henderson said he would invite the students in after the subject was concluded. It took more than 20 minutes, however, and by that time the students had left. The school yard is shown in the picture below.
