Schools Band

Five school band members receive bursaries

Music scholarships

These five young members of the Portage schools band are recipients of music scholarships. Standing and sitting in centre are David and Ray Bowman who received scholarships to attend the Manitoba Holiday Festival of the Arts at Neepawa. Others, going to the International Music camp on scholarships, from the left, are David Swidnicki, Wayne Costley and at far right is Walter Byrka. At back is Bert Penman who is presenting a scholarship to Walter. All other scholarships were donated anonymously.
