Queen Elizabeth Scholarship to Noreen Kitson
Noreen Kitson was all smiles Tuesday as she received a $200 cheque and congratulations from Mayor Bill Linden after she had been named the 1968 winner of the Queen Elizabeth The Second Scholarship. Noreen averaged 88 per cent on hr [sic] grade 12 examinations. Others at the city hall ceremony were, left to right: W. C. Taylor and C.W. Rhind, two members of the selection committee; the mother and father of the winner; and I. H. Greenberg, another member of the committee.
