Double duty schools

Double duty schools — The four schools shown above are where 1,677 Portage school children receive their education. There are so many students that staggered hours are necessary. Here's why: Prince Charles school (top) has 435 of its own students, plus 403 Collegiate students, using its 16 classrooms; North Ward school, middle left, has 215 students in its four classrooms; West Ward, middle right, has only three rooms, and 143 students; Victoria school, bottom, has 481 students in its 11 classrooms.
