La Verandrye [La Verendrye] award winners

La Verendrye School held its Recognition Day exercises Wednesday and there were a lot of happy faces to mark the end of another school year. Shown in this photo are, left to right — Carol Michaluk, who won the Vopni Press trophy for grade six academic achievement; Carol Vust and Sussanne Ryshak, members of the school's track and field team which won the Legion Shield - Grand Aggregate; and Janet Fedorchuk, grade five academic winner and the holder of the Beaver Lumber trophy.
