Left Hander Golf Tournament- Patterson Three Ladies Enter Open
Al Patterson, pro at the Winnipeg Breezy Bend club, goes through a familiar routine here Sunday, accepting the Mayfair trophy for winning the Canadian left-handed open golfing championship. This was the sixth time in eight attempts that Patterson has won the title. Patterson fired a new course 36-33----69 to finish 11 strokes ahead of the closest challenger. Tourney chairman Steve Swabuk, on the right, presented the Mayfair trophy to the winner.
Trail Blazers. Bernie Miller, Ruth Guichon, and Millie Kitson tote up the scores, left-handed of course, after their rounds in the Canadian left-handed open golfing championship here Sunday. Incidentally, they were the first women ever to compete in the event. Open is open, obviously, so the girls had no trouble having their entries accepted.
