Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Forsythe 50th anniversary

A well known couple in the city and district Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Forsythe of 20 7th Street S.W. today celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple are pictured above cutting their anniversary cake. Mrs. Forsythe, formerly Maude Clarke was born in Omemee, Ont., 74 years ago and came to Carberry with her parents in 1889. Mr. Forsythe was born in Peterborough, Ont., 78 years ago and came west in 1889. He came to High Bluff in 1896. He and Mrs. Forsythe were married in 1902 in Carberry, and moved to High Bluff where they resided up until two years ago. Commenting on his anniversary Mr. Forsythe said "Everything has changed in that 50 years except the weather." When they were married 50 years ago it was a lovely day just like today, said Mr. Forsythe. The couple received congratulatory messages and flowers from various parts of the Province and Dominion.
