Militia retirement - Maj. Vic Dyer
Two longtime members of the militia in Portage were honored by the Officers' Mess at the Gaddy St. Armouries. Capt. O. D. Hancock, left, and Capt. J. Campbell, centre, served for many years with the local unit. The former is now retired and the latter is Chief Instructor with No. 18 Portage Cadet Corps. Capt. W. Blenkarn, at right, made the presentations on behalf of mess members.
