Amaranth airman in Greece

Athens, Greece — Corporal Raymond C. Beckdolt, 27, of Amaranth, Man., left, has been serving as a Communications Technician (Air) with his jet fighter squadron during "Exercise Southern Express" just completed. "Southern Express" has been an operational test of NATO's newest strike force, dubbed the ACE (for Allied Command, Europe) Mobile Force. Cpl. Bechdolt's Unit, the RCAF No. 439 (Sabre-Toothed Tiger) Squadron, has been operating its F-86 Sabrejets from the Greek Air Force base at Nea Anckialos, just north of here.
