Education
La Verendrye School ready for pupils
Workmen are seen here putting the finishing touches on the exterior of the city’s spanking new La Verendrye school in the northwestern section of the town. The doors of the school will swing open for the first time officially Tuesday as students at the Portage Collegiate, and in the six elementary schools, end their two months’ summer today.
