Proposed rec-complex - Portage Stock Car Club is first contributor

The first contribution

The Portage Stock Car Club is the first city organization to contribute to the proposed sports complex. Last weekend club treasurer Len Parrish, centre, presented a cheque representing the proceeds from the first meet of the year to complex chairman Bill Hamilton of the Kinsmen Club. At left is Kinsmen Ed Solomon, liaison chairman between the car club and Kinsmen who assisted during the opening event held a week earlier at the Plains City Raceway.
