Portage Plains United Way - Brief ceremony kicks off 1969 campaign

Portage Plains United Way campaign was opened Saturday afternoon at a brief ceremony which included a fly past of jet aircraft from CFB Portage. Taking part in the ceremony were, from the left: campaign chairman Jack Hill, Mayor W. A. Linden, Reeve R. S. Adrain of the Rural Municipality of Portage, Col. D. S. McKechnie of CFB Portage, and Harvey A. Carmichael, president of Portage Plains United Way lncorporated.
