United Church Deaconess

Shown above are the teachers and executive responsible for the directing of the Vacation Bible School held in the United Church basement starting July 27 and continuing until Aug. 7. From left to right they are: Mrs. Hatlelid, Mrs. Thelma Carter Laurel Green (on knee), Mrs. Lois Stewart, Rev. McLean, Marlene Chisney, Marlene Ogilvie, Mrs. Bella James, Mrs. Shirley Green, Miss R. Lazenby.

Miss Ruth Lazenby shown above, recently accepted the duties as deaconess of the United Church. She filled the position vacated earlier by Miss Betty Carkeek who left to be married.
