FAIR CADETS. In a new program inaugurated last year, the Royal Canadian Air Cadets has allowed girls to join the organization and from all reports they make pretty fair cadets, in more way than one. The program will be continued and expanded this year and Portage 575 Terrier Squadron hopes that more girls will take advantage of the training opportunities offered by the cadet organization. Two of last year’s cadets who will be back this year are Cpl. Patricia Purvis, left, and Cpl. Diana Schwesinger. Recruiting for cadets will be held the first and second weeks of September.
