School trustee nominees at West End community hall
Three of the four people on the left of this picture will be chosen Friday by Portage la Prairie voters as members of the city's school board. The man on the far right is Alex Hunter, president of the West End Citizens' Co-operative, who was chairman of a meeting last night at which all four candidates spoke. The candidates are, from left to right: Rex. A. Gilroy, E. M. MacKey, Mrs. Sybil Barnett and Mrs. Theresa Sherritt, only one of the three school trustees holding expiring seats who is seeking re-election.
