R.C.M.P dragging operation at Popular [sic] Point
Search for drowning victim — Dragging operations in Deep Creek, near Poplar Point, were directed by Constables Watson and Hogan of the Portage detachment, R.C.M.P. In the picture above, Watson rows, while Hogan probes the creek bottom. They are searching for the body of Robert Walter Hunt, 3. The body was recovered by two Poplar Point men, Wesley Gowler and Jellico Lafreniere.
