Legion “Remembrance Day” poetry competition winners
Royal Canadian Legion cash awards for poetry and essays on the Remembrance Day theme were presented today to successful winners by Portage branch president Jack Wilson. With him here, from the left, are poetry winner Rhonda Nicholson, grade 9, Mavis Joel, grade 8 and Alvin Davidson, grade 10. The awards are made annually.
