CFB Portage ice sculptures
"Smokey the Bear" sculptured in ice receives close scrutiny from the panel of judges including, from the left, Mrs. J. N. Forsythe, Major Jack Matthews, chairman of the CFB Portage annual winter carnival; Mayor W. A. Linden, Marg Clark and Ald. Orest Pressey. Ice sculpture competition was part of the week-long celebration which began over the weekend.
