Chad James Anthony, born to Mrs. Linda Hewitt at 12:43 a.m. January 1, is Portage la Prairie’s New Year’s baby, the first baby born in Portage General Hospital in 1974. Chad James Anthony weighed in at eight pounds, 11 ounces. He is the first son born to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hewitt and is a brother for Tanis, three-year-old daughter of the couple.
