West Ward school construction

The West Ward School which it is hoped will be opened after the Christmas school holidays, is showing the first signs of the splendid building it is expected to be. All the class rooms have the glass block windows which take the place of almost the whole of the wall space on the outside of the building. This system of building allows the maximum amount of natural lighting to enter the rooms saving a great amount of strain upon the eyes of the pupils.
