Fort la Reine School participates in “National Police Week” observations

All in a day’s work

A police officer can expect anything during the course of one of his “average” days, and here, Cpl. Ken Dressell of the Portage city detachment RCMP takes a rather unusual assignment in his stride. Cpl. Dressell was at Fort la Reine school Wednesday morning instructing students from kindergarten and grades one and two in basic safety rules as part of National Police Week. It’s all in a day’s work for Cpl. Dressell, and both he and the children seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.
