Busy Fingers Knit Shop official opening

A new knit shop

A new store, the Busy Fingers Knit Shop operated by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith was officially opened over the weekend when Portage Mayor Karen Devine cut the ceremonial ribbon. Also attending the Saturday opening was 10-year-old Barry Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Wright of rural Portage who named the new shop. The official party in the photo are, from the left, AId. A. R. Barrett, Mrs. Smith, Mayor Devine, Mr. Smith, Mrs. Lillian Maxwell and Mrs. Sylvia Roberts. Young Barry is at the front.
