The BEC Communication Ltd. specializing in sales and service of two-way radio was officially opened Monday afternoon by Portage Mayor Karen Devine. The mayor snipped the ceremonial ribbon placed at the passage-way to the servicing area. Assisting the mayor was BEC proprietor William E. Cleaver while Portage and District Chamber of Commerce president Hugh MacKinnon, right, looks on. BEC is located in the former Dairy Queen building at 1200 Saskatchewan Avenue West.
