Adult education - First furniture refinishing class completed

Upholstery instruction

Laurie Matthews, chairman of the Portage La Prairie school division, examines a footstool and chair at Prince Charles. Mrs. Betty Bourke, instructor of 15 adults in the Community Schools program, also examines some of the work. The upholstery class was formed as a result of a suggestion from the Portage Recreation Commission. Response was quite good and Community Schools principal Ernie Shwaluk plans to start another 10-week class after Christmas.
